Coronavirus and university activities – what applies?

Södertörn University now has some on-campus teaching, although many programmes have retained elements of remote learning. Your timetable will show you what applies to you.

“The corridors and rooms have been still and quiet for a year, and many of longed for the campus and our premises to once again be full of students. Södertörn University has had stringent restrictions to help reduce community transmission of the coronavirus since March 2020 and we will continue to follow the recommendations of the government and expert authorities,” says Vice-Chancellor Gustav Amberg.

The autumn semester is well underway, and Södertörn University has some face to face teaching. Of course, we are prepared to reset and fully return to remote teaching if necessary, and we are following the recommendations of the authorities. As the situation remains uncertain, we do not yet know how teaching will be conducted in the spring semester. We will adapt to the changes and decisions made by the relevant authorities.

Although we have moved to more on-campus classes, many programmes and courses still have elements of remote learning. Your timetable will tell you whether or not you will be on campus, so it is important that you stay updated about what it says.

Whether you are a new student or a returning student, it is important that you find out what applies to you in well in advance. Please check your timetable regularly and stay up to date about what applies to your course(s).

For new students, it is easiest to find your timetable by going to Register and then searching for your course or programme. For current students, it is easiest to access your timetable via your courseroom on SH-StudyWeb. You can always search for your timetable in the Timetable Search.
